The Reserve Bank of Fiji wore a 90 metre red satin ribbon today as part of BAHA Fiji's 'Wear Red on Tuesday' campaign to mark World AIDS Day. The stunt announces the arrival of Fiji's Business Coalition on HIV and AIDS, known as BAHA Fiji, and marks a clear message that the business community will play its role in the important issue of HIV and AIDS. The President of the Republic of the Fiji Islands, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, joined BAHA Chairperson Caz Tebbutt to inspect the giant ribbon at 11.30am this morning. "The President has shown tremendous leadership on this important issue of HIV and AIDS and he is to be congratulated for his commitment and ongoing support", said Ms Tebbutt. |

Cambodia's leading hoteliers will head a new campaign aimed at engaging the hotel and tourism industry in HIV prevention programs. In Siem Reap, the town that hosts one of Asia's most famous tourism destinations, the Angkor Wat Temple, APBCA and CBCA outlined a strategy for providing the tourism industry with education and services that can reduce the risk of HIV infection for the sectors employees. |
