APBCA's role includes:

  • Ensuring a best practice approach to HIV policy and program development across the region.
  • Developing standard tools to monitor and evaluate programs and outcomes.
  • Assisting in either the establishment of a country coalition or the development of the business and delivery model of an existing country coalition that wishes to join the network.
  • Providing services for multinational companies or companies trading in more than one country in the region who may wish to join the APBCA directly.
  • Maintaining links with foundations, research institutes and government and multilateral organisations involved in addressing the HIV epidemic.
