Best practice

APBCA members will have easy access to the latest best practice in HIV workplace policy and programs.

International recognition

APBCA member businesses that demonstrate best practice, innovation and commitment in their responses to HIV will be promoted through press coverage and case studies on the APBCA website.

Sharing experience

A number of APBCA members are currently implementing workplace and community-based HIV programs. APBCA's business network approach facilitates the sharing of these programs, lessons and innovations across the member network.

Engaging with communities

In recognition of the fact that most HIV infections occur away from work, APBCA encourages members to work with local families and communities to minimise the impact of HIV. In remote locations, a company's HIV program may be the only program operating in its community.

Monitoring and evaluation

HIV/AIDS initiatives must be monitored, evaluated and adapted regularly to ensure the intervention is appropriately targeted and effective. APBCA can assist companies to monitor programs and evaluate the effectiveness of their HIV/AIDS program in order to achieve this objective.
